When should you service your motorbike?
Following your manufacturer’s maintenance plan is key to keeping your motorbike running smoothly and avoiding costly breakdowns.
Generally, oil, coolant, and brake fluid should be changed not only by mileage, but also by time. Even if you haven’t hit the mileage mark, an annual service is usually recommended.
Typical service intervals: first check at 1,000 km, then every 6,000, 10,000, 12,000 or 15,000 km depending on your model. If you don’t ride often, at least one service a year is ideal.
